End Queensland's housing crisis!

Our new report on the housing crisis by UNSW's Hal Pawson should serve as a wake-up call for government.  

The Blueprint to solving Queensland's housing crisis, commissioned by the Town of Nowhere campaign, Tenants Queensland and The Services Union found that:  

  • There are approximately 150,000 households across Queensland with unmet housing needs. These are people experiencing homelessness or in rental stress, paying more than 30 per cent of their income on rent. 
  • Homelessness is growing fastest in Queensland, rising 22 per cent since 2017, compared to an 8 per cent increase across Australia.

Government urgently needs to build more social and affordable homes, and make renting fairer.
The Premier is hosting the next Housing Roundtable on 28 March.
Ask the Premier to use this opportunity to commit to delivering more social and affordable housing so that every Queenslander has a roof over their head.
