Queensland is in the grip of a housing crisis.
More than 300,000 Queenslanders have unmet housing needs. That means they are either homeless or are on low incomes and paying more than 30% of that in rent.
If all of those people lived in the same place - you might call it the Town of Nowhere - the population would be almost double the city of Cairns.
Next Wednesday, 20 September, the Queensland Premier is holding a Housing Roundtable to look at how we can work together to solve the Queensland's housing crisis. It is critical that we see the Queensland Government come up with a concrete plan to put a roof over the head of every Queenslander.
You can take action to end the housing crisis. Tell the Premier to commit to ending this housing crisis now.
Thank you for your support in helping to end the housing crisis!
We will keep you updated on what happens at this month's housing roundtable as we work together to try to end the housing crisis.
